The Men’s Ministry at Genessee Avenue provides the men of God with an opportunity to come together informally to fellowship, pray, learn, and grow in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The ministry provides an avenue to strengthen our faith in Christ, and each other, encourages participation in the church, provides knowledge that will ultimately lead to victory in our daily walk and the sharing of our faith with the world.
Our goal is accomplished in several ways:
• The ministry allows us to come together and share our collective spiritual knowledge and experiences with one another.
• The ministry hosts a bi-monthly Saturday morning fellowship meeting. The Saturday morning meetings cover a diversity of topics that assists in spiritual maturity and a victorious walk with Christ.
• Topics include spiritual lessons with appropriate secular topics, including current events and Men’s health.
• Finally, the Men’s Ministry achieves its goal by providing an annual Men’s Retreat in the fall in local state parks that reinforces the goal of spiritual growth.
Men of all ages are welcome and encouraged to participate with our activities in the spirit of our motto:
Proverbs. 27:17
As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend..
